Pet Dentistry

Rogers Animal Hospital carries out numerous pet dentistry procedures, from routine cleanings to dental surgery. Just like people, pets can have dental ailments, and preventative dental care is the best course of action to ensure their teeth stay healthy.  Plaque and tartar accumulation can result in the loss of teeth and various infections in the body if not treated. A veterinarian should examine your pet’s oral health, including gums and teeth, at least twice a year to look for early indications of dental disease and to maintain your pet’s oral health.

If you notice any of the following issues, please book an appointment to have a vet check your pet’s oral health:

  • Poor breath
  • Loose or chipped/broken teeth
  • Additional teeth or baby teeth are still present
  • Discolored or stained teeth or teeth tartar on them
  • Chewing, dropping food, or drooling that is unusual
  • Blood in the mouth
  • Swelling in or around the mouth
  • Gums that are red, puffy, or tender
