Dr. Ricky Rogers
Dr. Ricky Rogers was born in Corsicana and has been a life-long resident. He graduated from Corsicana High School in 1972. Dr. Ricky married his childhood sweetheart, Debbie Ratliff, in 1974, and he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University in 1977. Dr. and Mrs. Rogers later had three children named David, Gayle, and Michael. They are the proud grandparents of Madeleine Rogers.
Upon graduation, Dr. Ricky worked as an associate veterinarian for his old mentors, Dr. John Harper and Dr. J.D. Carroll of Carroll and Harper Animal Hospital in Corsicana. In 1979, Dr. Ricky worked a short tour for the Texas Animal Health Commission as an area veterinarian before he built Rogers Animal Hospital in August 1980, where he established a mixed animal practice.
In over 40 years of practice, Dr. Ricky has treated all types of animals, including dogs, cats, cattle, horses, swine, sheep, goats, tigers, and once an elephant with a toe abscess when a traveling circus stopped for a visit. Dr. Ricky has always had a particular interest in treating and preventing Bovine Respiratory Disease in stocker calves. He has spent years developing and perfecting custom respiratory vaccines and treatment protocols for stocker and feeder cattle. Through word of mouth referrals across the state, client loyalty keeps Dr. Ricky very busy traveling to consult for over 200 cattle producers in Texas, Tennessee, and Mississippi, where he is also a licensed veterinarian. However, Dr. Ricky continues to work here locally and can be reached by any client that needs personal attention. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Haley Beamon
Dr. Haley Beamon was born and raised in Memphis, TN. She grew up on her grandparent’s small farm in Arkansas where she fell in love with animals, and at a very young age, she knew she wanted to become a veterinarian. She spent most of her summers during middle and high school volunteering at the Memphis Zoo and shadowing at various clinics around Memphis. Dr. Beamon earned her Bachelors of Science in Animal Science from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2014. She went on to pursue a masters at Tuskegee University, which she completed in the summer of 2018. Through her thesis, Dr. Beamon developed an interest in reproduction and small ruminants. Dr. Beamon earned her veterinary degree from the illustrious Tuskegee University in 2021. She has 3 fur babies, Shi Shi, Mika, and Maverick, and in her free time she enjoys thrifting, traveling, and listening to true crime podcasts.
Meet Our Veterinary Technician Team
Alexa was born in the Dallas Fort-Worth Metroplex, but her roots were always in Fairfield, where the family ranch was. Her family ranch started as a mostly exotics ranch raising emu, ostrich, rhea mini donkeys, mini zebu, llamas, other exotic birds. Alexa grew up spending all her holidays and summers on the ranch, helping her grandparents with all the animals and helping run cattle for a family friend. She has recently moved to Fairfield to carry on the extended family line of farmers and ranchers. Alexa attended Cedar Valley College in Lancaster. She graduated in May 2019 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in veterinary technology. Alexa also received a Small Animal Veterinary Assisting Certificate and a Large Animal Veterinary Assisting Certificate. She enjoys being outside and spending time around her property with her two dogs named Kate, a blue heeler, and Molly, a heeler retriever mix.
Ana was born in Mexico and raised in the greater Houston area. She started her veterinary technician career at Lone-Star College and graduated from Cedar Valley College in 2015. Ana obtained her associate’s degree and became a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She has been in the field working with small animals for over ten years, and her passion continues to grow every day. Ana currently resides in Dresden with her husband, Michael, and their two children, Mason and Maddox. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting, working in the garden, camping, and enjoying life with her boys.
Meet Our Reception Team
Allison lives in Blooming Grove, Texas. She attended Tarleton State University and the University of Texas at Arlington. Allison has three children named Jake, Charlie, and Allie. She is a proud grandmother of Madden, Sawyer, Axel, Nolan, and Abbott. Allison started working at Rogers Animal Hospital in 1999. In over 20 years of employment, she worked as the groomer, technician, receptionist, and office manager. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, dogs (Mickey and Winston), and especially her grandchildren.
Gabby has been on the team at Rogers Animal Hospital since September 2014. She started as a veterinary assistant, then moved to the front desk to be the receptionist. Gabby has three wonderful children named Agustus Dale (12), Raelyn June (7), and Heath Wayne (2). Gabby’s husband, Dale Harwell, and she met in 2005 and are high school sweethearts. Away from the clinic, she helps her children with their extracurricular activities. Gabby’s oldest plays baseball for his select Texan team and his school (Blooming Grove Elementary). Gabby’s daughter plays softball for her school (Blooming Grove Elementary), takes tumbling classes and riding lessons. Gabby’s youngest son tags along everywhere, cheering on his brother and sister! Gabby has two important pets in her life, Perry Como (Dachshund/Jack Russell cross) and Jasper (a loving pit bull).
